Pupils are introduced to the principles of health and fitness. Pupils will focus on the main components of fitness and study the effects of exercise on the body.

Unit 2: Healthy Lifestyles

Pupils will understand factors that affect health and fitness and must evaluate a health and fitness plan. This unit is assessed through an external examination.

Unit 4: Develop a personal health and fitness programme

Pupils will be expected to produce their own working portfolio of work, which is original and doesn’t copy resources given to them.
