Teacher/Lecturer of Hairdressing - Post 16

Required September 2018

0.4FTE - 2 days per week


Sarum Academy would welcome applications for the position of Teacher of Hairdressing. Hairdressing at Sarum Academy is a VTCT Level 2 and Level 3 Post 16 course for pupils studying in Year 12 and Year 13. Potential applicants have the opportunity of employment by the Academy or offer their services on a contracted arrangement. The Hairdressing course is popular and highly successful.

The successful applicant will:

  • have experience delivering the VTCT Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing qualifications;
  • have high aspirations for all;
  • possess a strong team ethos, a ‘can do’ attitude and a sense of humour;
  • possess good communication and numeracy skills;
  • be reliable, self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative;
  • have experience of, and a passion for, working with young adults.



Maternity Cover - Pastoral/Safeguarding Officer

37.5 hours per week

39 weeks per year

Required September 2018

Grade I, Spinal Point from £25,463 FTE

Sarum Academy would welcome applications for the position of Pastoral/Safeguarding Officer to join our fantastic Pastoral and Safeguarding Team to cover maternity leave. Sarum Academy is a highly successful school with a growing reputation; part of the Magna Learning Partnership Academy Trust. In addition to fulfilling your professional duties as a Pastoral/Safeguarding Officer, the post holder will be given opportunities to develop as an educational practitioner, and develop the role of the Pastoral/Safeguarding Officer.

The successful applicant will:
have high aspirations for all pupils;
possess a strong team ethos, a ‘can do’ attitude and a sense of humour;
possess good communication and literacy skills;
be self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative;
have experience of, and a passion for, working with children.
have experience in dealing with safeguarding and child protection cases;



Exam Invigilators
Salary Grade C Point 10 £7.90 per hour

We are seeking to appoint exam invigilators to provide support to the examination process, in addition to carrying out the professional duties of an invigilator.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be available during exam seasons
